Local Activities - Fishing
Langholm lies at the confluence of three rivers, the Esk, and its tributaries, the Ewes and the Wauchope. These rivers offer ideal habitats for salmon and sea trout, and as such, fishing is a popular and rewarding past-time all the way along the Esk's course to the Solway Firth.
The salmon season runs from 28th March until 31st October, with the sea trout season running from 1st May until 30th September.
Details for rod licences and further fishing information are available from the Langholm-Online website. Daily and weekly permits are available from hotel reception.
